WElcome to FarmIT

Using Digital tools to take agribusiness to the next level

Digitalization, the use of mobile technology such as the use of mobile payment systems, insurance systems, lending platforms, information platforms, smart logistics, and traceability is reshaping the landscape in many sectors such as finance, logistics, energy, security, and urban planning. Agriculture is the least digitized sector in the world. The use of mobile technology to help farmers access the best information on best production techniques, enhance market access and ease payments has not been exploited fully with cases of poor adoption of agricultural technology already existing in this sector. currently, Farmers are in need of agricultural mobile technology that is less costly, have ideal digital literacy requirements, and can be used in any language (AGRA, 2021)

FarmIT is a mobile-based platform that offers advisory services and market linkages to smallholder vegetable farmers in Kenya.
